Vikings at Cardinals, 3:25 p.m. ET – NBC
What to know
The Vikings have not won in Arizona since 2010 and the Cardinals have not won in Minneapolis since 1986. The difference is the Vikings have more weapons this season while the Cardinals are searching for a new regime.
In quarterback Sam Bradford, Minnesota has a proven veteran ready to handle any scrutiny that comes his way. The Cardinals, on the other hand, have rookie quarterback Josh Rosen filling in for the injured Carson Palmer. Rosen was impressive in his preseason debut but Arizona coach Steve Wilks insists that he won’t be starting until he proves his big-play ability.
Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said he was encouraged by the way Bradford played in Saturday’s preseason finale, and that was even after Bradford suffered a knee injury. With backup Case Keenum also on the roster, it is all but certain that Bradford will be Arizona’s starter.
Against the Rams last Saturday, Sam Bradford was 10-of-20 passing for 182 yards, one touchdown and one interception. If he is fully healthy, he should have a good deal of help in his quest to go undefeated in Arizona.
