The 27-year-old rapper from Paterson, N.J., was booked on two counts of possession of five grams or more of a controlled substance, which carries a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 10 years and a maximum of life, the NYPD said.
Fetty Wap was handcuffed, but was never put in the back of a police car, police said. He has since been released on a $25,000 bond, according to TMZ.

It is unclear how or why he was arrested, but he had apparently attended a Knicks game.
On Sept. 4, 2015, Fetty Wap sold 15,000 units of his hit single “Trap Queen” within 24 hours. The single’s release coincided with a video called “Trap Queen,” which saw the rapper smoking joints with a model and performing in a club while women flocked to the stage.
Fetty Wap was born Willie Maxwell, the son of a single mother, while growing up in Paterson.
