A 22-year-old woman has been arrested after police say she pulled over her car and created a chase in an attempt to entertain herself.
“Came across a red Camaro, one that I knew I was going to run,” Sydney Satchell Bell posted to her Instagram story this week.
The police response to her post has since garnered the attention of police departments across the country who have noticed it in their coverage of other high-speed pursuits. But it wasn’t until Saturday that Bell was ultimately arrested.
The story of Bell’s viral escapade started playing out in the aftermath of the Super Bowl when a clerk from Circle K in Osceola, Florida noticed Bell waving her arms at her car, according to local ABC affiliate WFTV.
When the clerk told Bell that she was running a red light, the police in Osceola, Florida, were then notified. The officers began following Bell on January 28, the local ABC affiliate reported.
They eventually caught up with Bell at a nearby intersection where she was trying to juke her car, according to the local ABC affiliate.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post that two deputies found Bell had multiple weapons on her. In addition to what was believed to be a firearm, investigators found an AR-15-style weapon, another gun with the serial number scratched off, ammunition and .45-caliber ammunition in her car.
Officers discovered more weapons at her house, the local ABC affiliate reported.
Bell was charged with driving while under the influence, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, possession of drug paraphernalia, pointing and presenting a firearm at a police officer and fleeing and eluding police.
CNN has reached out to Bell’s attorney for comment.
